Upgraded speaker terminals
Derived from the speaker terminals recently introduced in our 700 Series range, the speaker terminals on the new 606 S3 feature an improved layout and a cleaner signal path between your amplifier and your loudspeakers.
The Bowers & Wilkins 606 S3 is a larger stand-mount bookshelf speaker that steps up from the compact 607 S3, pairing a 6.5-inch Continuum cone bass/midrange driver with a decoupled double dome titanium tweeter for more scale and output while keeping the same accurate, transparent character across the 600 Series. The 2-way vented-box Flowport enclosure and acoustically transparent tweeter grille carry over from the smaller model, but the bigger driver pushes sensitivity up to 88dB and frequency response to 52Hz–28kHz, with distortion held under 1% across the audible range. It's rated for amplifiers between 30 and 120 watts into 8 ohms, giving it more headroom than the 607 S3 for larger rooms or louder listening. Standing 13.6 inches tall, it needs proper stands or a solid mounting surface rather than a shelf, and upgraded speaker terminals make for a cleaner cable connection. Sold as a pair in black, white, or oak finishes, it's the pick within the 600 Series bookshelf range for anyone who wants more bass extension and dynamic headroom than the compact 607 S3 offers.
