A house for high frequencies
Carbon Dome tweeters are purpose-built for the 700 Series. Delivering a dramatic improvement on the aluminum double dome tweeter, they raise the breakup threshold to 47kHz, for pinpoint imaging accuracy and detail.

Truly amazing sound
Thanks to its composite construction, the Continuum™ cone avoids the abrupt transitions in behavior that can impair the performance of a conventional drive unit. The result is a more open, neutral performance that delivers voices and instruments with precision and transparency.

Clean and clear
Every three-way loudspeaker in the new 700 Series has a dedicated midrange cone using four key Bowers & Wilkins technologies: the Continuum cone, FST™, Biomimetic Suspension and midrange decoupling, the latter ensuring minimal interference from the operation of the loudspeaker’s bass drivers.
The Bowers & Wilkins 704 S3 is the entry point into 700 Series floorstanding speakers, and Bowers & Wilkins' slimmest tower design, using a 3-way layout with a Tweeter-on-Top decoupled carbon dome, a dedicated Continuum cone FST midrange, and dual 5-inch Aerofoil Profile bass drivers to pack real low-end output into a narrow 6.5-inch-wide cabinet. That 3-way vented-box design with Flowport venting extends frequency response down to 48Hz while keeping the footprint slim enough for rooms that can't accommodate a wider tower speaker. Sensitivity sits at 88dB, and it's rated for amplifiers between 30 and 150 watts into 8 ohms, giving it more power headroom than the 700 Series stand-mount 705 S3. At just over 20kg and 925mm tall, it's a genuine floorstander rather than a bookshelf speaker on a stand, and it's finished in gloss black, satin white, or mocha to match the rest of the 700 Series lineup. Sold as a pair, it's built for listeners who want 700 Series detail and 800-Series-derived tweeter technology in a slim floorstanding form rather than a bulkier tower.
