The Bowers & Wilkins ASW610XP is the most powerful subwoofer in the ASW series, built for larger rooms that need genuine low-frequency headroom rather than just extra bass. It shares the same 10-inch long-throw paper/Aramid fiber driver as the ASW610 but drives it with a substantially more powerful amplifier — 98 watts versus 40W — extending output down to -6dB at 18Hz, with three selectable extension settings (A, B, or C) to match the sub to the room and speaker system. The same active closed-box design and 4th-order variable low-pass filter carry over from the rest of the ASW lineup, along with RCA line-level and speaker-level inputs and a 12V trigger for automatic power-on. At nearly 41 pounds, it's noticeably heavier and larger than the ASW608 and ASW610, reflecting the bigger amplifier and cabinet needed to reach that extension. Finished in matte black or matte white with black or grey grille options, it's the pick for a dedicated home theater or hi-fi system in a large room that needs the deepest, most authoritative bass the ASW series offers.
