Q What is the Goldring EXTRACT Stylus Cleaning Kit and what is it used for?
It's a maintenance toolkit for keeping a turntable cartridge's stylus in optimal condition, covering both routine daily upkeep and deeper cleaning, compatible with all stylus and cartridge types.
Q What's included in the kit?
A 10x magnification lens with a single hinge design, an anti-static stylus cleaning brush, a cleaning gel pot with a special formula, and a handcrafted storage box.
Q How do you use the brush and gel?
The brush is applied horizontally across the stylus with minimal upward pressure to remove dry dust. For stubborn residue, the gel pot is placed on the turntable platter and the stylus is lowered onto it repeatedly as needed, gently dissolving buildup without damaging the stylus-cantilever bond.
Q What is the magnifying lens for?
It lets you closely inspect the stylus for damage or contamination, both before and after cleaning.
Q Does the gel need to be replaced often?
No — it maintains its effectiveness through periodic rinsing and air drying rather than needing frequent replacement.
