Anti-Static Stylus Cleaning Brush
Your turntable stylus will inevitably attract dust and fluff during playback and a daily check is always recommended. If your stylus is contaminated with dry loose fluff, then the anti-static stylus cleaning brush should be used. Horizontally draw the brush gently across the stylus from back to front, applying as little upward pressure as possible. Featuring a resilient and durable pad that ensures no shedding, the soft, anti-static bristles will gently lift dry fluff and dust.
Cleaning Gel Pot
If a further inspection reveals fluff and sticky deposits still attached to the stylus, then the cleaning gel pot should be brought into play. Housed in a carefully designed container to ensure compatibility with any cartridge, this special formula gel is designed to remove stubborn residue, while being gentle on the stylus and without compromising the bond between the stylus and cantilever.
To remove unwanted fibres, just place the pot on your turntable platter and lower the stylus onto the gel, lifting the stylus again and repeating if necessary. All deposits are harmlessly removed with the transparent gel letting you see the debris extracted.
The gel pot will become less effective if allowed to get contaminated over time. However, its integrity can easily be refreshed and maintained by rinsing it under water and letting it air dry.
