The Sonance Garden Series SGS 8.1 Outdoor Speaker System is the speaker-only version of Sonance's landscape audio package, bundling eight satellite speakers and one 10-inch in-ground subwoofer without an amplifier — a good fit for anyone who already has a compatible two-channel amp or wants to source amplification separately, as opposed to the version that ships with the DSP 2-150 MKIII amp included. Each satellite speaker uses a 3.5-inch anodized aluminum cone woofer paired with a 0.75-inch polyurethane dome tweeter, while the dual voice coil subwoofer combines a polypropylene cone with a Santoprene surround to deliver bass from 35Hz to 100Hz. Both are housed in a sealed, non-corrosive, high-heat ABS enclosure built for permanent outdoor exposure, with pivoting mounting knuckles for precise aiming and a removable grille for a clean look.
