The Sonance IS8 is a full-range Invisible Series speaker pair, a step down from the IS10 with an 8-inch carbon fiber woofer instead of a 10-inch driver, but still built around the same bending-wave Wave Flex diaphragm for full-range sound from 40Hz up to 30kHz. Like the rest of the Invisible Series, it installs entirely flush into a wall or ceiling and finishes with drywall, select plasters, wallpaper, leather, or wood veneer over up to 3mm of topping compound, disappearing completely once installed. Sonance's Motion Flex Technology and CDX Crossover Design work together for crisp, detailed sound that Sonance says often surpasses traditional architectural speakers, while the DISC calibration system standardizes performance across an installation. Handling 160 watts RMS in a 16.1-inch-wide panel, it's sized for entryways, living rooms, and other large residential spaces where a completely invisible speaker matters more than the largest possible driver. Backed by a 15-year limited warranty and sold as a matched pair, it's the mid-size option in the Invisible Series lineup between the compact and IS10 models.
