The Sonos Era 300 is a premium smart wireless speaker purpose-built for spatial audio, using an unusual six-driver layout — forward, side, and upward-firing tweeters alongside two angled woofers — to send sound in multiple directions rather than straight ahead like a conventional speaker. That design lets it decode Dolby Atmos spatial mixes directly, and pairing two Era 300 units with a Sonos Arc soundbar creates genuinely immersive, room-filling surround sound for movies and Atmos-mixed music alike. Six class-D amplifiers power the array, next-generation touch controls handle playback and volume, and a beamforming microphone array with echo cancellation enables voice control, with a physical toggle to disable it entirely. Trueplay tuning measures the room's acoustics through the Sonos app (iOS or Android) and fine-tunes the EQ accordingly, and manual bass, treble, and loudness controls are available for further adjustment. It connects over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with an optional Sonos Line-In Adapter for analog sources.
