The Sonos Roam 2 is an ultra-portable smart speaker built to be Sonos' smallest, lightest option for taking real Sonos sound outside the house. An IP67 rating makes it fully waterproof and dustproof, tougher than a splash-resistant speaker, and its compact tweeter-and-midwoofer pairing — driven by two Class-H amplifiers — delivers size-defying clarity and bass from a body small enough to toss in a bag. It connects over Bluetooth for fully offline portable use, or Wi-Fi to unlock full smart speaker features through the Sonos app, including automatic Trueplay tuning that adjusts sound to its surroundings and a far-field microphone array with beamforming for voice control. Sound Swap lets audio transfer directly between the Roam 2 and other Sonos speakers, making it easy to carry a track from an indoor system outside without restarting playback. Battery life reaches up to 10 hours per charge. Available in black or white, it's the most compact and travel-ready speaker in the Sonos portable lineup, trading some of the Move 2's output and battery life for a smaller, lighter design.
